Vision Statement:
St. Mary's Primary strives to be a welcoming Christ-centred learning community that promotes a quality holistic
education and trusting relationships in a caring and supportive environment.
Acknowledgment of Country: We acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land, the Wiradjuri people, who, long before us, lived, loved, educated and raised their children on this site. We pay our respects to elders past and present, and we recognise the young people who are our future. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families in our community. We respect their deep physical and spiritual connections to the country through their stories, traditions and living cultures.
Character Virtue: HOPE
What it looks like: Hope is like a bright light in the dark. It's when you believe good things can happen even when times are tough.
What it means: Hope means having a positive outlook and not giving up when things are difficult. It's like having a dream and working towards it.
Why it is important: Hope gives us the strength to overcome challenges and keep moving forward. It inspires us to make the world a better place.
From the Principal

Mr Luke Wilson

Dear Parents,
Welcome to Week 4.
Kindergarten Enrolments 2026
Enrolment interviews for all new families will commence next Monday, 26th May.
Enrolment interviews for siblings of current students will be held in a few weeks.
Our little brothers and sisters of current students commencing Kindergarten next year should have submitted their enrolment application by now.

The Bathurst Diocesan Spelling Bee will be held next Wednesday, 28th May, at St. Mary's Catholic School, Wellington. After grade and stage spelling competitions, the following students have been selected to represent our school at the Spelling Bee. Congratulations to the following students:

Stage 2: 1st - Bede
Stage 2: Runners Up - Lucy
Uniforms and Personal Items
All articles of clothing, school and sports, drink bottles, lunch boxes etc. must be clearly marked with the student’s name. Many articles of clothing, especially school hats and other items such as drink bottles are lost because children do not recognise their own belongings. If your child loses any article at all, please see the teacher immediately.
Winter Uniform
Officially, the children are to wear their formal winter uniform after the June Long Weekend, but if your child is feeling cold, they may wear their winter uniform from the commencement of Term 2.
Sport
Rugby Union Trials
Congratulations to Maggie, who was selected for the Polding Girls Rugby 7s squad after trials at Santa Sabina College last Friday.
Congratulations also to Jackson, who was selected for the Diocesan Boys Rugby team to compete at the Polding Trials later this term.

We Are Allergy Aware
Anaphylaxis is a severe and potentially life-threatening allergic reaction. We want to do our best to keep those at risk, as safe as possible. We have several children at our school who have allergies to peanuts and tree-nuts.
It is important for the safety of these children that we ask that you don't send any nuts or nut products to school.
This includes foods such as peanut butter, Nutella, hazelnut spreads, trail mix or muesli bars/biscuits that contain nuts.
Please help us maintain the health and well-being of all our students by considering this information when packing lunches for your child.
We appreciate your support.
