Vision Statement:
St. Mary's Primary strives to be a welcoming Christ-centred learning community that promotes a quality holistic
education and trusting relationships in a caring and supportive environment.
Acknowledgment of Country: We acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land, the Wiradjuri people, who, long before us, lived, loved, educated and raised their children on this site. We pay our respects to elders past and present, and we recognise the young people who are our future. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families in our community. We respect their deep physical and spiritual connections to the country through their stories, traditions and living cultures.
Character Virtue: JOYFULNESS
What it looks like: Joyful is not just feeling happy because something good happens. It means deciding to see the good in situations, finding enjoyment in life's samll moments.
What it means: Joyfulness means deciding to see the good in situations, finding enjoyment in life's small moments and sharing that joy with others.
Why it is important: Joyfulness is important because it is normal to feel sad sometimes, but being joyful, we see the fruits of the Holy Spirit in all situations in our lives.

Mr Luke Wilson
Principal
Dear Parents,
Welcome to a short Week 7.
Our staff had a productive day of professional learning today, and we appreciate the support of our families for the changes made to your normal weekly routine.
I'd like to extend my thanks to the following staff for their dedication:
- Kindergarten staff and Mrs Danielle Dann for their work in preparing
our Kindergarten students for their outstanding nursery rhyme performances.
- Mrs Sue Nuttall and our school chess coach, Mr Mark Nuttall, for taking our
champion chess team to the competition at Orana Heights last Monday.
- Our Year 5 team for taking on a less-than-pleasant Bathurst winter’s day for
the Year 5 Goldfields Excursion.
- Our Year 1 team for putting on a great fairy tale day for our Year 1 students
on Friday.
Kindergarten Enrolments 2026 - Enrolment interviews for siblings of current students will commence tomorrow.
Winter Uniform - Children will commence wearing their winter uniform on Monday, 16th June - Week 8.

Help Me Help My Teen - This 2-hour event, based on Maggie’s latest book, is a reassuring, practical guide for parents, carers, and educators to help teenagers navigate adolescence and grow into confident, capable adults.
Maggie will provide clear and compassionate ‘what to do’ advice for some of the most difficult, sensitive topics – such as technology use, sex, drugs and alcohol, dropped school grades, school refusal, mental health and identity – and shows us how we can provide a safe and supportive environment for all our teens.
NOTE: Sensitive topics are discussed. Teens 13+ can attend with their parent/s or carers at their discretion. All attendees require a ticket.

We Are Allergy Aware
Anaphylaxis is a severe and potentially life-threatening allergic reaction. We want to do our best to keep those at risk, as safe as possible. We have several children at our school who have allergies to peanuts and tree-nuts.
It is important for the safety of these children that we ask that you don't send any nuts or nut products to school.
This includes foods such as peanut butter, Nutella, hazelnut spreads, trail mix or muesli bars/biscuits that contain nuts.
Please help us maintain the health and well-being of all our students by considering this information when packing lunches for your child.
We appreciate your support.
